‘Fragments of Home’ was the first project I filmed myself, and it was crucial that it not only looked professional but was also something I could manage independently, as I’m not a highly experienced DP. Since this was a documentary and not a scripted project, flexibility was key. I needed to keep the team small and the camera setup minimal, so I could easily adapt to different locations. For this reason, I chose the DJI Ronin 4D, which allowed me to operate the camera solo while still achieving stunning camera movements.

We filmed across several diverse locations, including a narrow houseboat. The compact and versatile setup made it easy to navigate tight spaces without sacrificing the quality of the shots.

I shot everything on a 25mm lens, and the results were beyond my expectations. The SP3s made the Cooke look possible, and I was blown away by how beautiful the visuals turned out. The SP3s were a game changer—lightweight, portable, and easy to transport. I quickly became a fan of the Cooke look and would love to shoot with this setup again.
