For this project, I specifically chose optics that would give me excellent image quality without compromise, as well as allowing me to be mobile. I considered the new COOKE SP-3 to be the ideal option.

My main visual point was that I wanted to show the Ray-Ban x META brand as vintage but also modern. Blue was chosen as the main colour for the entire campaign. The COOKE SP3 lenses added a vintage feel with their soft microcontrast. I really enjoyed working with them in the studio. The perfect smooth focus, softness, size, and appearance all gave me a real buzz during the process.

I was the editor and colourist, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well these lenses conveyed the full range of blue colours we had there.

The RED KOMODO-X 6K was chosen for several reasons. First, RED RAW. I wanted to get the most out of the lenses and their ability to work with colour.

Second, the 6K sensor. Third, the RED KOMODO-X has a very specific look when you want to shoot something in slow shutter speed. I found this to be a really interesting creative solution for this project.

COOKE SP-3 lenses give you a lot of options in terms of how you want the final result to look. They are both vintage and modern. You can shoot commercials, documentaries and much more with them. I would say that they are the Swiss Army knife of lenses at the moment, and I am grateful that I can use such first-class lenses on my projects.
