Personally, Cooke lenses are my preferred choice for long-format filmmaking. For my film Like Ani Subscribe, which follows a Gen Z blogger and aspiring actress whose life takes an unexpected turn after she becomes involved in a murder mystery,
I wanted a visual style that felt contemporary yet cinematic. Since the story is rooted in Gen Z culture, I chose to work with the Cooke S7/i lenses.
The S7/i offers a modern optical look while retaining the signature classic Cooke character. It delivers high-contrast images and beautifully warm skin tones that bring the visuals to life with a controlled flare.
The lens renders a look that is sharp and clean enough for modern digital workflows, yet still preserves the organic, filmic essence I was aiming for.
