Superb optical and mechanical performance in a comprehensive line-up
Focal length range: 16mm – 300mm (14 lenses)
Format: Full Frame
Mount: PL or LPL
Speed: T2
Optimised for film and digital cameras reducing lateral colour aberration and providing an organic bokeh, S7/i FF prime lenses are designed to provide maximum performance at full aperture with superior control of flare, distortion and spherical aberration.
Cooke’s /i Technology enables cameras to automatically store key lens data on everything from lens setting and focusing distance to aperture and depth-of-field. Equipping cinematographers with essential information, it streamlines production and post processes while eliminating the need for guesswork.
Each Cooke lens is hand crafted at the factory in Leicester, U.K, using a combination of state-of-the-art technology, traditional 100-year-old techniques and personal dexterity that come together to create these extraordinary lenses.

“All the benefits I can think of stem from what they don’t do: no funky aberrations, not much flaring, no surprises. I wanted a glass that could achieve a gentleness with no aberrations, a glass that was visually uncomplicated and down to earth. The S7/i’s were a no-brainer.”
“We wanted the cameras to be subjective, feel the depth of the space, like the camera work is being done with the characters. That told us what lens we wanted to be on, and after doing my lens tests, the S7s just stood out.”
The S7/i FF lenses are designed to provide maximum performance at full aperture with superior control of flare, distortion and spherical aberration.
Our Academy Award® winning cam-style focus movement, coupled with a large lens barrel diameter allow for an increased number of focus markings, particularly at close focus. A four-point contact bearing also provides a smooth positive backlash-free movement.
Accessible via a cable connector near the lens mount and synchronises with /i compatible cameras and accessories.
All S7/i prime lenses are colour balanced and colour matched – ensuring consistency across the series.
We offer a choice of PL and LPL camera mount options, designed specifically for use with our lenses.
All S7/i FF series prime lenses are designed for full performance and reliability with a minimum of downtime.
All S7/i primes cover an image circle greater than full frame.
Every focus mark is individually calibrated and engraved on both sides of the focus barrel for ease of use.
The majority of S7/i FF lenses have a common fixed front diameter of 110mm, with a focus drive gear of 140T x 0.8 mod and an iris drive gear of 134T x 0.8.
The S7/i series of prime lenses feature a nine-leaf linear module iris assembly, providing an aperture range of T2-T22.
Every Cooke lens is coated with a scratch resistant PTFE hard anodised finish, which provides a durable, hard-wearing surface to meet the most demanding environmental conditions.
