Cooke’s /i Technology automatically collects detailed lens data to equip production, VFX and post-production teams with insight into everything from lens setting to hyperfocal distance. Providing detail on vital information on factors like focus distance, aperture, depth-of-field, owner data and focal length in both metric and footage measurements, it also intelligently gathers inertial tracking data, shading and distortion data.

All Features

Optical Design

The Anamorphic/i FF series comprises of 8 Anamorphic Prime Lenses. These Lenses are optimised for film and digital film cameras with the Cooke Look, reduced lateral colour aberration and providing an organic bokeh look. The lenses are designed to provide maximum performance at full aperture with superior control of flare, distortion and spherical aberration. The optics feature a 1.8x squeeze factor for full frame formats up to 2.7:1 aspect ratio and a 1.8:1 bokeh shape.

Colour Balance

All Anamorphic/i FF lenses are colour balanced and colour matched – ensuring consistency across the series.

All Anamorphic/i FF lenses cover an image circle greater than full frame.

The Anamorphic/i FF series of prime lenses feature a nine-leaf linear module iris assembly and dual matched iris scales. Providing an aperture range of T2.3-T22 (85mm MACRO T2.8 -T22, 180mm T2.9-T22).

Focus Movement

Ergonomically designed to have smooth and accurate travel – whilst utilising precision mechanics to provide a consistent feel in operation through the entire focus movement.

Focus Scales

All lenses have individually, factory calibrated, dual matched focus scales with clearly identifiable distance marks.

/I Technology

The Cooke /i Technology ecosystem provides critical lens metadata such as focus and Iris position. Suitable for the most modern VFX applications such as Virtual Production shooting.

Camera Mounts

Precision PL Mount with /i Technology Electrical Contacts.

All Anamorphic/i FF series Lenses have standardised 0.8 MOD focus and Iris drive gears.

External Finish

Durable and Hard wearing surface finish to meet the needs of the most demanding environmental conditions.

Weight/Size Ratio

Optimised for the series.

Reliability and Service

All Anamorphic/i FF series lenses are designed for full performance and reliability with a minimum of downtime.
