The timeless Super35 anamorphic lens
Focal length range: 25mm – 300mm (10 lenses)
Format: S35
Mount: PL
Speed: T2.3
The Anamorphic/i Super35 harness all the anamorphic lens characteristics demanded by filmmakers today and historically for film and digital image capture. They encompass the Cooke Look with distinctive oval bokeh and greatly minimised variation in astigmatism, through focus and reduced lateral colour to maximise image quality with digital cameras.
Superb optical and mechanical performance with images beautifully rendered for film and digital capture, and aberrations like astigmatism and longitudinal colour exceptionally well corrected.
When specifying your Cook Anamorphic/i FF, you have the option to have the lens manufactured with a proprietary coating that allows you to kick flares, bokeh and other aberrations into new visual territory.

Save time and cost by streamlining the production and post-production processes, while enhancing the accuracy of data points. Gone are the days of needing to manually record lens settings, with artists able to produce more precise visual effects and 3D models at a faster rate. From DPs and VFX artists to directors and producers, everyone enjoys a more efficient process.
Anamorphic lenses are deeply complex to manufacture and combine traditional and modern techniques. Meticulous measurements are taken to ensure absolute quality.

“With Cooke Anamorphics, they’re not gunky nor do they deteriorate like a lot of other anamorphics fighting a wide-open stop for clarity. Cooke, wide open, the centre always stays sharp and just the edges fall off. If I go wide open, they retain that sharpness in the centre of the image. Even on set with a 25-inch monitor, you can only get so close to the monitors to see the fine resolution. But I have confidence in Cooke anamorphics and I know that I will have that centre sharpness with the falloff that I really like.”
“When we were inside and I had to go wide, that’s where the Cookes really shine. How they render faces and how the background just falls without any weird bending, no matter where you are in the frame or which lens you’re using.”
Anamorphic/i S35 lenses are designed to provide maximum performance at full aperture with superior control of flare, distortion and spherical aberration. The optics feature a 2x squeeze factor for Super35 formats in 2.4:1 aspect ratio.
Ergonomically designed to have smooth and accurate travel – whilst utilising precision mechanics to provide a consistent feel in operation through the entire focus movement.
The Cooke /i Technology ecosystem provides critical lens metadata such as focus and iris position. Suitable for the most modern VFX applications such as Virtual Production shooting.
All Anamorphic/i S35 lenses are colour balanced and colour matched – ensuring consistency across the series.
Precision PL mount with /i Technology electrical contacts.
All Anamorphic/i S35 lenses are designed for full performance and reliability with a minimum of downtime.
The Anamorphic/i S35 series of prime lenses feature a nine-leaf linear module iris assembly and dual matched iris scales, providing an aperture range of T2.3-T22 (65mm MACRO T2.6 -T22, 180mm T2.8-T22, 300mm T3.5-22).
Every focus mark is individually calibrated and engraved on both sides of the focus barrel for ease of use.
All Anamorphic/i S35 lenses have standardised 0.8 MOD focus and iris drive gears. Most lenses in the series also feature a fixed common front diameter of 110mm. The 25mm, 65mm Macro and 300mm lenses feature a 136mm front diameter.
The Anamorphic/i series of prime lenses feature an eleven-leaf linear module iris assembly.
Every Cooke lens is coated with a scratch resistant PTFE hard anodised finish, which provides a durable, hard-wearing surface to meet the most demanding environmental conditions.
For over 100 years, Cooke has been at the centre of the filmmaking business, listening to the community of which we are a part. Starting with the Cooke triplet in 1893, we have become ingrained in the evolution of lenses and has been a key innovator in the history of motion pictures.
Cooke HistoryDeveloped over 100 years of optical innovation, the inimitable Cooke Look is recognised by cinematographers for its ability to convey the emotion of a visual story through light, colour and composition.
