DOP Peter Simonite ASC CSC on his lens choice:
“Voice From the Stone is a Gothic Romance, and I really wanted to create a classic period feel with the visuals. The locations and the light were really beautiful, and I knew I could lean into that. So I decided to shoot on Cooke Crystal Xpress anamorphic lenses, because their soft painterly look would add a lot of character. Panavision Rome had a gorgeous set with a 28mm and a 200mm. ”
