This commercial featured Rahul Dravid for the Dr Morepen brand. Shooting a celebrity always needs the right choice of lens and camera. The director and client wanted a softer and brighter look, so my obvious choice was a combination of Cooke S7i lenses with the Alexa Mini LF for this one.
This gives me a nice depth and a lot of details in the shadow areas. Also, Rahul Dravid was sitting against a window (as per set designed according to production design) so I needed a lens that doesn’t flare too much and holds up the details in the background

For this one shooting with large format camera was essential for having shallow depth in the set. Hence the beautiful combination of Cooke s7i lens and Alexa Mini LF works best.
Also, i was looking for a warmer look from the beginning and Cooke s7i helped me beautifully to achieve that.
