The miniS4/i primes (T2.8 to T22 aperture) incorporate everything that today's filmmakers require: smaller, lightweight lenses that offer the same resolution, optical quality and reliability as the S4/i lenses.
The same exceptional resolution and optical quality as the S4/i, but at a lower price point.
Enjoy a smaller, lighter lens without compromising on quality.
All Cooke lenses are colour matched, meaning miniS4/i and S4/i lenses can be mixed on a shoot with full confidence.
Automatically record key lens data for each frame shot with /i Technology.

Cooke’s /i Technology enables film and digital cameras to automatically record key lens data such as focusing distance, aperture and depth-of-field for every frame shot and provide it to post-production teams digitally. Streamlining production and post, it saves time and cost while eliminating guesswork and enabling greater creative freedom.
We use traditional polishing techniques to ensure the highest level of precision.
An essential ingredient of lens manufacturing is consistent, persistent and accurate measurements.
Minerals are evaporated at a high temperature in a vacuum to deposit a thin film onto the glass.
Edging ensures that the glass diameters are perfectly round.
A seamless process in which lenses are assembled according to specific measurements, checked, cleaned, tweaked and rechecked.
The miniS4/i series comprises of 10 prime lenses designed to provide maximum performance at full aperture with superior control of flare, distortion and spherical aberration – ensuring the Cooke Look remains true.
Ergonomically designed to have smooth and accurate travel – whilst utilising precision mechanics to provide a consistent feel in operation through the entire focus movement.
All miniS4/i series primes have standardised 0.8 MOD focus and iris drive gears. Most lenses in the series also feature a fixed common front diameter of 87mm (The 18mm lens features a 110mm front diameter).
All miniS4/i prime lenses are colour balanced and colour matched – ensuring consistency across the series.
All lenses have factory calibrated focus scales with clearly identifiable distance marks.
Durable and hard wearing surface finish to meet the needs of the most demanding environmental conditions.
All miniS4/i prime lenses cover Super35 formats.
The Cooke /i Technology ecosystem provides critical lens metadata such as focus and iris position as well as individually calibrated lens distortion and shading maps. Suitable for the most modern VFX applications such as Virtual Production shooting.
Compact and suitable for all shooting applications.
The miniS4/i series of prime lenses feature an eight-leaf linear module iris assembly, providing an aperture range of T2.8-T22.
Precision PL mount with /i Technology electrical contacts.
All miniS4/i series prime lenses are designed for full performance and reliability with a minimum of downtime.
