“The brief of this mood film involved following a woman through luscious gardens and clean interiors. The client being a real estate brand, I was looking for an aesthetic that combined moody cinematic tones with rich colors and a pleasantly soft look, without the grit that some vintage glass offers. Shooting anamorphic was my first thought, and the plethora of focal length the Cooke set offers was perfect to cover up the variety of locations I had to illustrate here. I coupled the set with several Diopter strength for macro shots of natural elements, and fell in love with the 25mm lens in the process. The look Cooke lenses provide is without equal and this anamorphic set is just a delight to shoot with, displaying just the right amount of anamorphic qualities, whilst retaining clear sharpness, fast aperture and pristine colors.”.
