This film is based on a popular game title. Just like the game, the commercial takes viewers on an action-packed adventure, where the key character is transported into a surreal world as the story unfolds.

Cooke lenses have always been my go-to choice when I need something reliable yet full of character. For this project, pairing the Cooke Panchro FF kit with the trusted Alexa Mini LF felt like the obvious choice. Since it’s a VFX-heavy project, I knew that Cooke/i technology would be invaluable in post-production.Before this shoot, I had the opportunity to briefly test the Panchro FF/i lenses and was impressed by their organic falloff and the natural quality of their bokeh, and obviously the skin tones. Cooke & Alexa Mini LF. This combination was the best possible choice for the project, and I’m truly happy with the results.

I always strive to achieve the final look as much as possible in-camera, and I believe I was able to accomplish that on set—further solidifying my trust in this combo. Given the film’s high-energy, action-packed nature, we predominantly used the wider end of the lens kit—mainly the 18mm and 25mm—which greatly contributed to the film’s visual style.

I’m really pleased with the outcome and can definitely see myself returning to this combination in the future.
